Mission

Our VISION is to help as many people as possible to achieve optimum health through natural chiropractic care. Our PURPOSE is to inspire every person in our community to take responsibility towards his or her own well being.

A balanced spine and strong nervous system is the foundation of optimal health, longevity and wellness.

We strive to attain these results for all of our patients by providing a stimulating and caring environment for healing to occur.

About Us

Our vision of chiropractic has always been about adjusting the body to allow for the greater expression of “life”. Through the adjustment there is a release of light, also known as life force, which travels via our “internal internet” or nervous system. An adjustment allows your own “innate intelligence” or “life force” to express itself so that you may realize your maximum potential.

Chiropractors serve life. More energy, vitality and life expression can be yours with chiropractic.

Our team

DR Gail Thurber

I was born in Swift Current, Saskatchewan. I spent my early years in the prairies and then found my way to BC.

I studied music education at UBC at which time I felt unfulfilled. I then switched to sciences and pursued Chiropractic College in Toronto. I graduated as a Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) in 1991.

For generations my family has been associated with holistic health. From birth I suffered from eczema and at the age of two my mother took me to a hands-on natural practitioner. With great success I was able to overcome this ailment and continued to receive manual therapy throughout my childhood. My grandfather was a bonesetter in World War II and my brother, Dr. Barry Bergen is a retired chiropractor in Alberta.

The body’s ability to heal itself comes to me from a deep experiential place. I have been receiving chiropractic adjustments for over 40 years and the value of a clear nervous system in my life is insurmountable.

After graduating from CMCC I ran a successful practice in the hub of Vancouver (Yaletown) and chose to move to the beautiful Sunshine Coast for a healthier lifestyle. It is a pleasure to bring the tool of Chiropractic to this community. I plan to practice here for many years to come and look forward to a long term relationship with all of those who walk through my door.

Olivia McLean

“No one is useless in this world who lightens the burdens of another” - an agreeable quote from Charles Dickens, and probably the easiest way for me to describe the heart behind my career choice. Life has always been good to me, not always fair, but good. I’m a small town girl with an education, a few foreign stamps in my passport, and a loving family. The chance to give a little back in my day-to-day, while earning an honest wage, is a privilege I consider myself blessed to have.

I first experienced the effects of cold laser a few years back, when I was treated for shin splints. The personal experience and accumulative knowledge I’ve gained from working with it, would have me encourage anyone to consider it as a means to restore functionality in areas of acute and chronic pain or reoccurring injury. Exposure to this industry has certainly broadened my perspective, as a licensed practical nurse, in regards to the vast variety of healthy, alternative methods available in medicinal technology. I consider myself lucky to have the opportunity to diversify and grow my work experience in this innovative and creative practice.

Erika Tsang

I grew up in North Vancouver and, after extensive travelling in my 20's, found myself in Toronto.

There I met my husband and had 2 beautiful children. Knowing the city was not where we wanted to raise the kids, we moved to the Sunshine Coast in August 2015 for a more grounded lifestyle.

As a proponent of natural healing and a chiropractic patient for many years, I feel privileged to be part of a team that so strongly supports the health and wellbeing of this community. I love being the first face you see when you come into the office and it is a joy for me to create a welcoming space for your visits.

When not at work you'll find me goofing around with my family, cooking, gardening, dancing and making stuff pretty.

I look forward to meeting and connecting with all of you.
